A big milestone happened recently for Path To Manliness. I hit 4,000 subscribers to my newsletter. Most people enjoy my tweets, but email is actually my favorite method for writing
1. You Need to Start!
You have no idea how many writers put off their email list. Guys with 30,000 Twitter followers are still procrastinating. They’re waiting for something. Their next life maybe… who knows?
What happens if you get banned? You start over! But with an email list, you get a big head start regaining your biggest fans. One email to your biggest fans, and they’ll be back to following you on your new account.
2. Consistency
Some people write great emails but they quit or take too many breaks. People like routines. When you stop sending your emails, they get out of their routine. Then they stop reading you. You lose all your inertia.
3. Promote! Promote! Promote!
You need to tell people every single day to join your list. Put your link on twitter, Instagram, your website! Tell people you have an awesome newsletter!
